About Mid America Hunting Association Quail Hunting

bullet Some of the Best quail hunting in the Mid West
bullet Kansas, Missouri and Iowa
bullet High quail densities
bullet All natural, wild quail

Over the past 34 years, thousand of limits of bobwhite quail have been taken from our leases. But, successful quail hunts require hard work, and a good dog makes a world of difference. Quail hunting is available on Mid America Hunting Association leases throughout Kansas, Missouri and Iowa. Quail hunting can be combined with Pheasant and even Greater Prairie Chicken in some areas.

Quail hunting in Missouri is paradise with numerous tree lined creeks and highly compartmentalized crop fields. Quail hunting is good as all theses areas are surrounded with over grown fence rows.

Is quail hunting great in the Mid West? See the quail population distribution map to see where quail hunting is best.

All Mid America Hunting Association quail hunting is on 100% natural wild birds. We do not plant quail, post feeders or propagate any birds.

For a combination pheasant and quail hunting experience, North Missouri, southern Iowa and North Central Kansas offer overlapping populations both in huntable numbers.  There are opportunities to combine quail with Greater Prairie Chicken in Central and South Central Kansas, and Southeastern Kansas.

The versatile dog owner will appreciate the Missouri bottom lands where waterfowl and quail hunting is available within the same property and area.

For the quail hunting purest. The southern region, in Southwest Missouri and Southeast Kansas offer great quail hunting habitat.

Quail hunting in Southeast, Central, and South Central Kansas, the hunter must be prepared to identify the Prairie Chicken.  Quail hunters frequently mis-identify them as hen pheasants and only realize the mistake as the fast, high flying bird is long out of range.  The Prairie Chicken has a tremendous scent cone, apparently more intense than quail, allowing dogs to work them on longer tracking and stand off than quail coveys.
