What This Deer Hunting Page Covers
This is an overall review of Mid-America Hunting Association's deer hunting lease operation. It covers all common topics.

Travis
The basic benefit of the Association is flexibility in location and time to deer hunt.
Location is provided through three states of deer seasons and a choice of spots from day to day. Time flexibility comes from all may deer hunt any time during the season on their schedule.
There are additional benefits of ease of use, freedom of coordinating with landowner and access to corporate farms. Much of which will be new resources for many hunters. Those differences about Mid-America Hunting Association develops into discussions that are not common to other web sites. continued reading will show just that.
Deer Hunting In Iowa, Missouri and Kansas
Mid-America operates in three states: Missouri, Kansas and Iowa.
In operation since 1965 and will continue until the two partners retire in 14 years.
Our limited range of operation is due to the reality of running hunting lease land. That is the partners need to be on the land throughout the year. This insures the Association is not taken advantage of. The limiting factors are road miles and hours. To be any larger would to adversely effect hunt quality.

Self Guided Deer Hunts
All hunting is self guided.
Self guided deer hunts are defined as the Association operates within the region of each state with historic trophy production. It then secures lease land for exclusive Association hunts. All the hunter needs do is scout and hunt to his standards.
This is unencumbered hunting. No wasted time looking for and securing an individual lease, no knocking on doors, no strings attached of handshake contracts accompanied by hope the place will be available in the future.
More about our self guided deer hunts.
Missouri is often not considered a trophy Whitetail Deer state. Each season that is proved wrong.

Trophy Whitetail
Yes, we have trophy Whitetail Deer.
As many trophy deer are harvested through our Association as are harvested through any other whitetail hunting option. We do not advertise ourselves as a Trophy Whitetail Deer Hunting Association. And, we do not say we have a higher success rate than any other approach. What we offer private land within state regions of historic production.
Our hunts are for those that enjoy the art of deer hunting. This includes the understanding that the potential for a trophy Whitetail Deer is present. It also includes the understanding that the reasonable deer hunting expectation is that no one will on any given year harvest a trophy Whitetail Deer.
We seek the deer hunter that enjoys the day in stand. Seeks to be hunting without pressure. Wants to practice the deer hunting art. That art is the ability to:
Pick and chose when during the entire range of deer seasons covering pre, early, peak, trail and post rut to hunt.
Have a choice where to hunt from season to season down to each day or morning to afternoon. No one hunter is limited to just one spot.
Practice the hunting art of set up, decoy, rattling, grunting, bleat, camouflage, attracting and cover scents.
Hunting the same animal over a variety of terrain from wide open no tree in sight to drainage's with only 10 yard shots.
It all comes down to flexibility of being able to deer hunt to each hunter's own current or developing skill level. That flexibility covers three states worth of land, seasons and terrain.
It is also that every hunter may hunt to his own trophy level. This means we do not have trophy or rack score limitation. Each may harvest his personal best and work his way up from there.
Private Land Hunting
Association hunting leases are 100% private land. For fair chase hunts compliant to all state and federal wildlife regulations.
The single advantage through this private land hunting Association not available elsewhere is the collective buying power to acquire large corporate farm deer lease land. The payback to the deer hunter is the corporate farm is single focused commodity operation. This means they are not diversified. The corporate farm limits costs by concentrating on a narrow range of products. In our case we focus on the grain farms. The lack of diversification is the corporate farm does not have cattle pastured in what is wildlife areas. The corporate farm if it cannot get the plow in the ground ignores that ground.
Contrast the corporate farm with the small acreage farmer of anything less than 3,000 acres. Most small farms have cattle pastured on any land the tractor cannot plow.
The end result through the Association is a higher quality protective cover next to food source for better hunting.
